I first heard of the Zutons a few years ago, when their big hit single “Pressure Point” was in several Levi’s ads. Well, after two albums and a few hits that were bigger in the UK than on the US side but still a band that’s definitely “made it”, here comes their third album, which is set to hit stores Tuesday(Monday in the UK), but thanks to DV8, it’s here today, now. For those of you who like Brit Rock(and I am definitely one of those types), enjoy!
Two years after Tired Of Hanging Around, the album that made them a family name (or at least the album that contained their hit Valerie, which, when covered by you-know-who, paid off their mortgages), the Zutons return in a bullish mood. Again. You Can Do Anything seems to continue where the previous album left off. Their initially cuddly exterior, soon gives way to some very urban paranoia and angst.
Hidden amongst the retro riffs, horn squawks and lustily sung choruses are tales of scroungers (Family Of Leeches) infidelity (Dirty Rat), intolerance (You Can Make The Four Walls Cry) and sheer bloody violence (What’s Your Problem, Bumbag). Add to this the tales of rent boys (Freak) and you soon cotton on that this is not a pretty picture of modern Britain that the band want you take home with you. And it’s
all delivered with that great yearning scouse voice of Dave McCabe that helps overcome the overwhelming kitchen-sink squalor of it all sometimes.
Musically it’s definitely business as usual, and the departure of guitarist Boyan Chowdbury seems to have merely spurred them
on to greater guitar madness. Always Right Behind You boasts some killer slide. Mind you, the saxophone of Abi Harding
still seems a little too basic at times. More and more you suspect she’s there for the wrong reasons. She may provide
contextual eye candy for male fans, but sometimes the little musical texture that she does add is frankly negligible.
But no matter. The Zutons are, you’ll be relieved to know, on fine form. And maybe this time around they can keep the big
hitters for themselves.

2002. In the same week, she became the first female performer to simultaneously hold the top two places on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with “Foolish”, and “What’s Luv” (with Fat Joe). She broke records again by having three Top Ten songs Foolish, What’s Luv, and Always on Time, with Ja Rule, on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the same week, being the first female to accomplish this feat and being second only to The Beatles. Ashanti also wrote and sang background on the song “Ain’t It Funny” (Murder Remix) sung by Jennifer Lopez which was also in the top 10 charts at the same time as “Foolish”, “Always on Time” (with Ja Rule), and “What’s Luv” (with Fat Joe). In 2002, she was acclaimed as the “Princess of Hip Hop and R&B” and by 2008, Ashanti had sold more than 7 million albums in the U.S., and more than 15 million records worldwide.
Simple Plan is a French Canadian pop punk band based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Up to now, the band has released three studio albums, as well as two Live albums. “Your Love Is a Lie” is the second single from their self-titled third studio album. Group mV4U (my favourite MViD scene group) brings us a very high quality music video of this song, even though it is a TVRiP version. The video is a straightforward representation of the song. It intersperses shots of the band playing with shots of a Bouvier’s girlfriend (Bouvier is the lead singer of the band), meeting (and presumably having sex) with another man, while Bouvier, betrayed by the woman, waits in agony in his apartment. His apartment has a view of the man’s apartment, with a clear view of a bedroom’s window, where he sees the women have an affair.
“Pocketful of Sunshine” is a pop song performed by Natasha Bedingfield for her second North American album Pocketful of Sunshine. It is scheduled to be released as the album’s second single in 2008. The song has been recorded in simlish for the video game The Sims 2: FreeTime and was featured on the midseason finale of the MTV television show The Hills. Bedingfield also performed the song on the season finale of the Canadian television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. This high quality TVRiP MViD is ripped by group mVa. Give it a try.
One of the biggest albums of the year, the new Usher, hit the scene today. It’s scheduled to hit store shelves next week, but because of GT4, it’s here today. In addition, MOD has provided the bonus track. The album has already produced 1 #1 single and will likely feature several more. So if this is your kind of music, make sure you grab it.
